Big Balloon achieved the milestone of its 10-year anniversary in 2020.
In a year that has been difficult the world over, the company has maintained a position of strength within the Australian toy industry. Privately owned, Big Balloon distributes international powerhouses like TY, Character Options and Jazwares, as well as a select group of other brands. Most recently they welcomed CraZart to the family.
In the past 10 years they have been instrumental in launching Ty Beanie Boos, Pokémon, Peppa Pig, Fireman Sam, Cabbage Patch Kids and Micro Machines to the local market. 2021 will see further developments, including the launch of exciting brands such as Cocomelon, Spidey & Friends and Nickelodeon Slime.
It will also see a senior management change with the appointment of Chris Loverso to Managing Director as of 1st January 2021. Chris was a founder of the business, joining after many years in the toy industry. Big Balloon is looking forward to 2021 and wishes Chris well in his new role, guiding the business through the next 10 years and beyond.
