Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products is celebrating the Dark Knight in a big way to honour Batman’s 85th anniversary. A landmark partnership with Vicinity Centres leads the way and will bring a series of unique activations to 17 retail destinations across Australia, creating interactive experiences that capture the spirit and legacy of the Dark Knight. As part of these celebrations, fans can also look forward to “Batman” in Concert making its Australian debut, offering a special chance to experience Warner Bros. Pictures’ iconic 1989 film, “Batman” (1989), accompanied by a live symphony orchestra. Additionally, the latest Batman consumer products will be available at leading retailers, ensuring there are even more ways for fans to connect with their favourite Super Hero.

In honour of Batman’s enduring legacy, Vicinity Centres will host unique activations at 17 of its retail destinations nationwide. These activations will range from visits by your favourite Batman characters, crafting stations to build customized Super Hero accessories, and specially curated children’s play areas. Additionally, there will be a competition to win the ultimate theme park holiday.

Each Vicinity centre will bring its own flair to the celebration, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience for Batman enthusiasts of all ages. The centres include:

These activations follow the resounding success of the recent event at Chadstone – The Fashion Capital, which drew record crowds and captivated fans of all ages with Australian-first retail executions, including interactive exhibits and activities, and live performances from crowd favourite characters, including Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. The overwhelming enthusiasm and participation at Chadstone have set a high standard for the upcoming celebrations, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

To continue the celebrations, Batman fans can also look forward to a range of new and exclusive consumer products available at retailers including BIG W, Kmart, Australia Post, ZING Pop Culture, Agoro and New Zealand Mint. The lineup features a variety of items perfect for fans of all ages, including Imaginext Super Friends Figure sets, 30cm The Dark Knight Figurines, and collectible Pop Vinyls. The highlight of the collection is the BATMAN 1:15th Tumbler Remote Control Batmobile, a must-have for any Batman enthusiast, promising hours of thrilling entertainment.

As part of the festivities, “Batman” in Concert is set to make its Australian debut. Presented by TEG Life Like Touring and TCG, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, this spectacular event will showcase the epic “Batman” (1989) film on the big screen, accompanied by some of Australia’s finest symphony orchestras performing the iconic Danny Elfman score. Part of the DC in Concert series, this global tour brings the Warner Bros. Pictures’ 1989 blockbuster film directed by Tim Burton to symphony halls around the globe.
